Rev. Sungkyoon (Joseph) Park
Lead Pastor
Pastor Joseph serves as Lead Pastor at Parkview UMC. He is a Master of Divinity student at United Theological Seminary, who will graduate in May 2022. His wife, Jinhee, is attending Dayton Barber College and their son, Daniel, graduated from Centerville High School in 2021 and just finished a boot camp at West Point. Pastor Joseph and Jinhee are from South Korea and bring a wonderful perspective of the US and South Korean relationship to Parkview Church. Pastor Joseph was a South Korean journalist for 21 years, including serving in the Washington DC area for 15 years, before joining a Christian organization to serve Hispanic children in New Jersey. He had a calling into the ministry in 2018 and moved to Ohio. Pastor Joseph has been thankful to American Christians, especially Methodists. His great-grandmas on both father’s and mother’s sides met Methodist missionaries and became the first Christians in their family history. His family feel blessed and honored to serve Parkview UMC as well as our country.
Sara Burchett
Administrative Assistant
Sara is the Administrative Assistant at Parkview UMC.
Sara joined the Parkview family in April 2022. She grew up in Miamisburg and earned her bachelor’s in 2005 from Wright State University, majoring in Finance. Her husband Dr. Lee Burchett and her were friends in high school and later got married in 2010 . They have four children together: Alanna who is attending Miami University in Oxford majoring in Social Work, and Sebastian, Charlotte, and Maggie who attend Bishop Leibold. Sara is a Girl Scout Troop Leader for Troop 35155 who meets here at Parkview and Committee Chair for Pack 402.

Joe Childress
Janitor and Handyman
Joe Childress started working for Parkview during the holidays, of 2020. He has a beautiful family who attend church with Mr. Joe most Sunday mornings. He is a military veteran who served our country for many years, and he even helps with cub scouts who meet at the church.

Melora Newsome
Children's Director
Melora Newsome is in her fourth year as the Children’s Director at Parkview. She also volunteered with the children’s ministry program for several years prior to being officially hired. She was born and raised in Miamisburg. In March of 2008 she got married to her husband and two years later welcomed a beautiful baby girl named McKenna to their family. Three years after McKenna was born they had Micah, who is a true gift from God. She homeschools her little ones while teach education courses part time at Sinclair Community College. She loves teaching students how to work with children at all ages. She graduated from Wright State University with a BS in Education and went on to get a master’s degree in K-12 education and and later earned a second master’s degree in Special Education. She loves children of all ages and teaching them the word of God.
